Coil Cleaning and Combing
Here are 3 reasons why cleaning AC coils is important.
Ensures optimum performance
Your HVAC is a complex machine that is composed of several parts. Your condenser coil is one of them. If it doesn’t work well, then the whole system will be affected.
Residue can impede the efficiency of your HVAC. Take a look at your outdoor unit from time to time. Clean the outdoor unit and make sure that the surrounding areas are clear.
Most Facilities aren’t in the habit of cleaning their AHU unit. But you need to keep in mind that the condenser coils are a part of the outdoor unit. Not cleaning the condenser coil impacts the performance of your HVAC. Heat gets trapped inside and can’t be effectively released when it is covered with dirt and debris. This will lead to inefficient cooling and increased energy consumption.
It is important to have your HVAC cleaned regularly. Cleaning your HVAC condenser coil should be a part of it. The more efficient your HVAC is, the more comfortable your indoor environment will be.
Your AC will live longer
Condenser coils are constantly subjected to dirt, leaves, dust, and bugs.
Remember, regular maintenance is the best way to maximize the life of your air conditioner. Failure to clean your HVAC coils drives up your energy bills.
The aluminium fins on evaporator and condenser coils are easily bent and can block airflow through the coil. We use a tool called a "fin comb" that will comb these fins back into nearly original condition.
